Steps:
1) Read a message with a link in it.
2) click on the link.
3) Delete button greys out.
4) Go to a different message -- Delete still disabled.
5) Close mail and reopen it.  Delete enabled again.

I'm using IMAP, and moving deleted messages to trash (if that helps any).

This bug is caused by 12051.  I expect that when 12051 is fixed this problem will 
go away.

Marking fixed because saari reported to me that although 12051 was not fixed he 
thought enough of it was fixed to give us what we need for this bug.
