User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040718 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040718 Text displayed partially in a core X11 font and partially in a TrueType font may be displayed incorrectly when 1. only a part of it is visible (e.g. the upper half of a line is visible while the bottom half is below the window's bottom edge) 2. the bounding box of some chunks drawn using a TTF lies outside the visible screen area The problem becomes apparent when the text becomes fully visible (e.g. due to scrolling) and one half is displayed incorrectly while the other half is displayed correctly. See the screenshot. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. visit a page where most of the text is displayed using a core font but some glyphs, esp. those having ascent or descent lower than the rest of the text (quotation marks, dashes...) are drawn using a TTF 2. zoom in/reduce window size to increase the likelyhood of a partially visible line 3. scroll up and down
