Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9
Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 0.7.1 (20040626)

The address book has a file - exit menu item that closes the whole application.
I had expected it to only close the address book.

In the end I found a file-close menu item which did what I was trying to do -
close the address book so I could continue to use the main application.

I can see no purpose to the file-exit menu item other than to cause confusion,
and would like to suggest that the correct way to exit the application is from
the file menu of the main application.

I suggest removing the duplication of file-close and file-exit from the address
book, and having a single command that merely closes the address book

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
The behaviour is the same in 0.8
I would suggest omitting this menu item from the address book File menu.
Same in 0.9. It is a quite confusing item, and unlique the behaviour of any
other application I know. If there is insistence to keep the menu, at very least
rename it to "Exit Thunderbird".
