I just have found a simple but very practical feature in the e-mail client
"Foxmail". There it is possible to set "None" as mail order.

I guess you know the problem that spam e-mails often have a "old" date, so that
they are sorted somewhere in the middle of the mail list (if it is sorted by
date). If the order is set to "None", the e-mails are ordered like they really
have been downloaded!! So if you download spam e-mails, they are also shown
always at the top of the list.
This is why this "None" really makes sense.


Please, please adopt this for Thunderbird !!!

Here you can see how Foxmail has implemented the feature. There a context menu
is shown if you right-click on the bar with the order buttons. This context
menu shows an item "(None)".

Oh. I just have seen, that this is already possible. In "View/Order by" there is
an item to order the mails like they are received.

This makes this bugreport invalid.
