User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040714
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040714
When dragging a bookmark in the bookmark menu (not the bookmark manager) and
moving it to a subfolder, the subfolder keeps closed. Then I can drop a bookmark
into top level of bookmark menu only.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. have at least one folder in bookmarks
2. open any web page
3. hover mouse sursor over site icon in address bar, then press left mouse
button and drag mouse cursor over "bookmarks" menu. When bookmarks menu opens,
drag mouse over folder.
Actual Results:
Folder will not opens, make insertion into impossible.
Expected Results:
every folder in bookmarks menu must open when mouse cursor hover it in
"drug-and-drop url time". Like it was in 1.6 and, possible, first of 1.7
pre-releases of Mozilla

Product: Browser → Seamonkey
I have the same problem in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041228 Firefox/1.0+. Exception is the first folder in the
Bookmark Toolbar Folder will open when hovering over it and allow you to drop,
but any folders beyong that does not work. Just see the black line where it will
drop the url above the folder.
I have adblock, minit and tabx extensions installed.

This bug was fixed in some version, but it returned back in 1.8a6. The
difference is : this bug applicable to bookmark menu and the bookmark manager .
Comment 2 is right, it was fixed by Bug 243720 but reappeared before 1.8a6
release, see new Bug 277070. Resolving now as dupe of the new one.
