User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040616 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803 This sounds a lot like 247542, which is marked fixed. But I can consistently reproduce a crash on various Web sites, including www.nytimes.com and www.sfgate.com. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1) Start Mozilla 2) Open a second tab on www.nytimes.com 3) Scroll using scroll wheel up and down a few pages worth. Actual Results: Crash, and Talkback comes up. Expected Results: Not crash Talkback crash ID: 494907 There seem to be a bunch of other similar Talkback reports as well. As this info seemed relevant before: MacOS 10.2.8 Display set on Thousands of Colors
And I assume that it doesn't crash for you at millions of colors?
Brief tests show that it does not reproduce at Millions. I'll leave it in Millions and see if it ever reproduces there.
despite bug 247542's following comment: > Checked in to trunk, 1.7.1, and aviary. 1.7.1 does not actually contain that patch, since 1.7.1 and .2 are security releases and contain a few hand-picked patches only. thus, this probably _is_ a dup of that bug. I suggest trying a 1.7 branch nightly from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/nightly/latest-1.7 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 247542 ***
