STEP TO REPRODUCE:
1. Make sure you have the "Remember last selected message" preference on.
2. Display a message with many addresses in the To: or Cc: fields - enough
that it causes the little "+" to expand the list.
3. Expand the list.
4. Select another mail folder.
5. Return to the mail folder containing the message with many addresses.

RESULT:
The header-view pane is *way* larger than it needs to be to show all of the
addresses.

EXPECTED:
It should look the same as when I left the folder.

WFM version 3 alpha 1 (20060823). But note, when returning in step 5, the + is always there, the list is not expanded.

do you agree?
I still see the large header pane on occasion.

Reporters, does this still occur in the latest 2.0.0.x or trunk nightlies?
It doesn't seem to occur in version 2.0.0.12. It just collapses the list upon returning to the folder in step 5.
Awaiting more information from other reporters, adding whiteboard info.

*if* this gets resolved, then bug 174613 should also be checked.
