To begin with there is no sort option when right clicking on a folder under
bookmarks. It is necessary to choose manage folder and then view- A>Z sort
order. but this is already chosen and the bookmarks still do not appear in a
sorted order after exiting from the manae folders interface. Nothing I do will
permanently sort the folder's contents. 

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.click on a bookmark subfolder and right click (no option to sort appears to exist.
2. choose "manage folder" and then "View" and see that the items appear to be
sorted in the management interface.
3. Attempt to sort them and it appears that they will sort but when you exit the
management interface, the bookmarks are not sorted. The sorting that appeared
was simply a temporary "view," not a permanent view.

Actual Results:  
bookmarks remain unsorted

Expected Results:  
they should have been permanently sorted.

Is this bug about Mozilla or Firefox? Right now, as filed, product is Browser,
not Firefox.
As far as I can interpret what you're saying, it seems possible that this bug is
a DUPLICATE of bug 211023.
