Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0)
Build Identifier: Mozilla Firefox v0.9.1

As Below

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Any PC
2.Uninstall Firefox 0.9.1
3.Examine links opened with IE 6

Actual Results:
As Below

Expected Results:
Expected the FIrefox program to restore control and defaults back to Internet
Explorer.

Very very annoying problem particularly for those evaluating whether to go
other to Firefox from Ms Internet Explorer. As the test was performed on a main
work computer it caused alot of problems. Most of the problems could be averted
just but letting Windows 2000 know that iE was the default browser and linking
the Internet shortcuts back to it.
See also bug 248497, similar problem with file associations.
Summary: Unstalling Firefox results in loss of access to links from I.E 6 WIthin Outlook, also all URL Shortcuts do not work. Firefox does not restore defaults back to IE for web browsing which result sin links not working. → Unstalling Firefox does not restore Default Browser setting to previous default browser
