User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040707 Firefox/0.9.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040707 Firefox/0.9.2
When I use RoboForm to invoke and login to a Web page, two FireFox tabs are
opened instead of one.
This problem occurs with the most recent version of RoboForm (from
www.RoboForm.com) ver. 6.0.3 and ver. 5.9.5 of the FireFox Adapator. The
problem was introduced in ver. 0.9.3 of FireFox: ver. 0.9.2 worked fine.
When I reported this to RoboForm support they say:
"this is caused by the bug in the firefox.
when we call it wirth URL to show, it shows it and returns error code,
so then RF uses a different technique to show it.
we cannot fix bugs in firefox."
I'm not a RoboForm developer and can't provide further information about what
they're doing. My bug report can be found at:
http://www.roboform.com/php/rtss/main/showticket/?tid=af993411840a37460aa413ee9942f701&sid=10aefa5a0ad37fdca3cb6a6bd0c8c7d4
If you want further information they may deign to provide it if you post a query
there.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a RoboForm login record to log into a WEB site.
2.Click the RoboForm tray icon, then click logins, then click the login record
just created.
Actual Results:
RoboForm opens two FireFox tabs: the first tab logs in successfully, and the
second displays the login screen without logging in.
Expected Results:
The second tab should not be opened.

I've just heard from RoboForm that bug 246078 causes this problem. See
http://johnhaller.com/jh/mozilla/firefox_bug_246078.asp. When I apply that fix
the behavior changes, but it still malfunctions.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
