User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040806 Firefox/0.9.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040806 Firefox/0.9.3
I usually load Sunbird (for THunderbird) standalone with the -calendar option.
I noticed that when doing this with recent versions, my calendar events and
tasks are not loaded. However, if I run Thunderbird and then start Sunbird with
Tools | Calendar, it work fine. This may be related to 181264.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create new calendar events and tasks. Exit Thunderbird
2. Start thunderbird with the -calendar option
3. Notice that events and tasks do not appear
4. Restart TB without th e-calendar option. Start Sunbird with Tools | Calendar
5. All events and tasks should appear.
Actual Results:
The events and tasks did not appear properly.
Expected Results:
In both cases, all tasks and events should appear.
I'm using Sunbird 2004080917-cal with thunderbird 0.7.3

Make sure you are not using an older version of the calendar extension
by following the uninstall instructions at:
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/faq.html#uninstall_info
If after doing this thunderbird fails to launch, delete the chrome.rdf file, the
xpti.dat file and the compreg.dat file from your thunderbird profile directory.

Ok, turns out I was wrong, this doesn't work. I used the lates Sunbird build on
Linux, copied my .ics file to the .sunbird profile folder and launched sunbird.
Nothing appeard in the Calendar area.
Using the same .ics file, I launched thunderbird. I then launched the Calendar
extension from TB and all the tasks an events appeared properly in the Calendar
area.
Once again, I launched TB using the same .ics file, but this time with the
-calendar option and nothing appeared.
I suspect the problem is still there so I'm reopening. I can always send the
.ics by email to someone. It contains personal information in it so I won't
attach it to the bug report.
I'm still using the same TB version but I'm using this version of Calendar:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a3) Gecko/20040812 Mozilla
Sunbird/0.2a

You do have to 'subscribe' to the calender. When you add a local calendar, you
can give the path to the file.
Or you should create the default calendar, and put the old file over the new.

That's what I did, to make sure the file name hadn't changed. If I add an event,
it's added to the file but the others don't show. I really don't understand.

Reporter:
I can't reproduce this bug with the latest builds of calendar/thunderbird.
Are you still having this problem? If not, please mark this bug resolved.
