User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3
I let the page load, begin to scroll, browser does not respond to my scrolling
anymore. At the third or fourth movement of the mouse there is a beep and I have
to reboot the PC.
Other comment: this happens a lot, 8-15 times a day. On other pages as well. Use
best of class spyware and antivirus programs, yet problem persists. (McAfee,
Spyblaster, adaware, Spybot) I hate to admit it but IE has been a lot more stable.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. enter URL
2. hit enter and let the page load
3. use mose to scroll on right hand scroll bar
Actual Results:
scrolling halts despite me continuing to move the mouse down along the scroll
bar,. I can still move the mouse 3-4 times until PC locks up. Or, I click and PC
locks up after 3-4th click. Always have to reboot to get out of problem.
Expected Results:
Let me scroll and view üages, as this is standard browser behavior.

I see no problem with the page listed in the URL field. Clearing security
sensitive flag because I see no hint of an exploit here.
Without specific broken pages to test there's not much way to fix this. This
sort of sounds like something specific to you, if it's happening at common
high-traffic sites we'd have had more bugs like this one.
Do you have any extensions installed, or is it a stock Firefox as distributed by
mozilla.org? Some extensions are not very stable.
You could try reinstalling Firefox, but if it's persisted over several versions
it's more likely something foobar'd in your profile. If reinstalling Firefox
doesn't help, but using Mozilla 1.7.2 does (uses the same web-page rendering
engine as Firefox) then I'd say something was corrupted in your profile.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
