Austy, you haven't met either of the first two bug writing guideline items on http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html. Without those being met, this bug is invalid.
Why did it go through then?
It didn't "go through". It is in an unconfirmed state. Unless you can correct the report deficiencies, such as providing a repeatable reproduction scenario, it will either remain unconfirmed, or be marked invalid. In any event, unless you provide more information, your report will be of no use to the programmers.
Yea, well, the crashes are RANDOM--yet most definite initiated by clicking on a tab that is displaying a web page.
This is probably an OS/2 or TCP/IP problem. Do you meet the requirements at: http://www.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla1.7/installation-ports.html#os2
I meet the requirements: GCC lib, TCP, Warp level, Inno. java plugin, etc. This bug has all the looks of the infamous "GCC divide by zero and watch your system crash" bug: only diff being that now it's happening randomly and with merely 2 web pages loaded on respective tabs, whereas before it was happening when more than 5 tabs were loaded. Guess GCC is still gorked.
My last Mozilla trap was 65 days ago. I rarely have fewer than 12 tabs open at once, and usually closer to 20. Have you considered upgrading to 1.7.2 or 1.8a3? Also, don't use Chatzilla 0.9.64f - use whatever CZ comes in Mozilla if you're actually using CZ.
Austy, please get rid of the plugin, at least for tests. Better even, if you try with a fresh profile. Btw, none of your posted SYS trapscreens is a divide by zero, the first is a segfault, and the second just says that the thread was killed.
As the reporter hasn't answered after almost two months and I don't see the problem, I am resolving WFM.
