User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040809 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040809 I'm having problems with the popup blocker -- I keep having to re-enable it. It's like some odd javascript is constantly disabling it, and opening up windows. I get it off of Yahoo! Mail, kwiz.biz, and other odd sites off of LiveJournal. It's been going on since the 1.7.2 release of Mozilla. I'm using the Slackware default build. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Jibjab.com also exhibits this behavior.
I can now repeat the behavior on Firefox 0.9.3 release, same sites.
I see this behavior on Mozilla 1.7.3 on WinXP. I will set the "block popups" preference, and the next session, Mozilla has forgotten this setting. About Mozilla results: Mozilla 1.7.3 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910 MultiZilla/ StumbleUpon/1.993 Mnenhy/0.6.0.102 I have several other XPIs installed including TabBrowser (an alternate to Multizilla)
I do have tabbrowser on 1.7.3. I'll have to check with Firefox w/o tabbrowser, see if that's the problem.
Any chance you could change this to confirmed/new? The bug is driving me mad! By the way, I think this behavior is independent of the websites - the "block popups" preference simply isn't being saved between browser sessions. --Pat / zippy@cs.brandeis.edu

I just updated to Tabbrowser 1.11.2004111302, and seeing if it's saving the preference or not over the session. If I get a popup, I'll drop a line here.
No further response from reporter, so I guess it was the extension. Resolving as invalid. If you can reproduce the problem with a current build and a clean profile (without extensions) then feel free to reopen the bug.

It was. I'm no longer using Tabbrowser Extensions.
