Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3
On a laptop which has a track pad that includes a scroll pad, the scroll pad
used to update the screen as I dragged my finger. It no longer does that. Now it
waits until I remove my finger before it updates the screen. This is very
annoying and makes the scroll pad almost useless. It needs to behave the same as
the scroll bar, which continuously updates the screen as I drag the indicator.
(It used to work this way, back in Firefox 0.8
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run Firefox 0.93 on a laptop with a track that includes scroll pad.
2. Open any web page large enough to require scrolling.
3. Drag up ad down on the scroll pad portion of the track pad.
Actual Results:
It did not update the screen until I removed my finger.
Expected Results:
It should continually update the screen as I slide my finger up and down.
I tried this uner both a custom therme and the standard theme. It does't make
any difference.

I've found that when I first open firefox after starting my computer, the scroll
pad works properly. After I use it for a while, I notice that the scroll pad is
acting as described in this bug. I don't know what causes the change.

This may be a problem with the operating system. I have now started to notice
the same problem in other applications.
