Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a3) Gecko/20040821
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a3) Gecko/20040821
Beginning in 20040821 builds on WinXP SP2 I began to see behavior where if you
right click on a link, the page will scroll then the scrollbars will no longer
scroll to the bottom of the page however using the mousewheel will allow you to
scroll to the bottom of the page.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. find a page which is long enough to activate the scroll bars,
e.g. http://news.google.com/, but the problem occurs on any page.
2. scroll down in the page. Note that this bug will not appear unless you scroll
down far enough in the page.
3. right click a link
Actual Results:
Note the page scroll and that the context menu does not show the proper options
for a link context menu. Then attempt to use the scrollbars to move to the
bottom of the page. Note how the scrollbars do not allow you to reach the bottom.
The link context menu will begin to work if you continue to right click on other
links without scrolling, but once you scroll the page the bug reappears. The
scroll bars are horked regardless.
Expected Results:
Opened the link context menu without scrolling and withour horking the scrollbar
motion.

I am seeing this too on W2K. Left click is affected too. first click will
possition clicked ling at the very bottom of visible area, subsequent click will
actually open the link. In order to see this behavior the page must not fit into
the screen. UI is affected too: if you right click connection icon on the right
bottom the menu with proxy selection is not displayed.
win32 build 2001082108, w2k
Ditto. I've had trouble with scroll and left-click as well. It doesn't seem to
happen on every page, but did on the bugzilla query pages, and this page.
On the bugzilla query page (advanced search), scroll down to the submit button.
Left-click on it causes the page to scroll back to the top and the form is not
submitted. If I tab to it, it activates when I press the spacebar.
On this page:
1. Scroll down so that the http://news.google.com/ link from the initial
description is somewhere in the middle of the viewport.
2. Left-click on it. The page content jumps so the link now shows at the bottom
of the window. A second left-click should actually activate the link.
I think this makes it worse severity than "major".
BTW, right-click seems to have affected the scrollbar on the comments textarea, too.
