This works ok for me. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1
This doesn't work for me (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041031 Firefox/1.0RC2). To reproduce: 1) Go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio 2) click "Launch BBC Radio Player" 3) Click a link to a station/genre 4) Click the Play button Actual Results: nothing happens. Expected Results: should be able to control the stream. I don't know if this is a problem with the code, Firefox, or RealPlayer. Remember that the BBC web-site is (AFAIK) the most popular site in Europe so it's important it works properly.
The player plays the programmes but wil not allow you to pause, or skip ahead or back a minute.
I've found the solution (i think there's a page on Mozilla.org detailing it). If you install Firefox after RealPlayer then the plugins are not copied to the Firefox folder (unlike Quicktime). To fix this copy the following files (all in Program Files): Real\RealPlayer\Netscape6\*.xpt => Mozilla Firefox\Components Real\RealPlayer\Netscape6\*.dll => Mozilla Firefox\Plugins This then fixes the issue. I think this could be an Invalid, as it's a problem with the RealPlayer plugin. I have filed a TE bug about problems with RealPlayer (Bug 268147).
