256755 - posting to discussion groups stalls

when posting to blackboard discussion groups, I push the 'submit' button. 
'javascript:publish()' shows in the footnote bar and I get a progress bar that
fills.  At this point the operation stalls.

This bug appeared when Blackboard (tm) upgraded.  The bug does not appear with
Mozilla 1.4 nor with epiphany nor with Internet Explorer (v6).  



Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.write a message do discussion group
2.press the 'submit' button
3.watch the browser sit.

Actual Results:  
nothing

Expected Results:  
posted the message and provided a response window (with an OK button that
completes the transaction).
