Details

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040823 Firefox/0.9.1+ If you navigate the Bookmarks menu with the keyboard (alt+b, then arrow keys), there is no way to delete the selected bookmark. You must switch to the mouse, right click the selected bookmark, and then hit 'd'. Same behaviour in the bookmark folders on the toolbar. The delete key should delete the selected entry. Also, the bookmarks menu/folder should not collapse when deleting a bookmark. This makes it very very difficult and frustrating to delete more than 1 bookmark from within a subfolder or three. I suppose I may need to file a seperate bug on this.
Also the windows version is affected by this bug.
There's an existing bug filed on the menu collapsing that I can't find right now; but we can't fix it any time soon. Both problems here are essentially the same issue internally, and due to the way things are set up, we can't support deleting via the keyboard in the menu. The menu is a horrible way to manage bookmarks; the bookmarks sidebar and/or bookmarks manager are intended for that.
