when I install the flash plugin for firefox (flash version 7,0,19,0), it gives
me a list of all possible browsers on my system.
I get, as expected, firefox and "mozilla sunbird 0.2a.".
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. download the flashplayer7installer.exe URL given above
2. execute the installer
3. read the browser list on installer page 2
Actual Results:
if I choose to install it for sunbird, after the installation it shows me a
window with a macromedia example page without toolbars, but the sunbird icon in
the upper left corner
Expected Results:
Sunbird shouldn't make the system think it is a browser

this also happens with the showave installer.

half-technically it is a browser, if I remember right we still build on-top of
Firefox architechture, just we dont have an inert method to load Firefox, and we
disable alot of the FF mechanics to keep us as lean as possible, this will be
fixed... leaving open with a slightly modified Summary, just until it truely is
fixed.
(Not confirming since I did not test)
Summary: flash installer thinks mozilla sunbird is a browser → Some plugins when installed think Sunbird is a browser

I believe this got fixed somewhere along the line. I tested both Flashplayer
(comment #0) and Shockwave (comment #1) and neither picked up Sunbird 0.2.
Marking resolved.
