User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3 When trying to log in to a web site requiring a password, I cannot complete the process as the "Login" button is not clickable. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to any of the three URL's above. 2. Put in any user ID/password combo 3. Try hitting "Enter or alternately try cliicking the "Login" Button Actual Results: Nothing. No action happens at all. Expected Results: Either taken me to the next page, or generated an error page if attempting to log in with an unknown user name/password. 1) I notice that the login button DOES NOT GIVE ME A FINGER ICON indicating an active link when I mouse over it. 2) I have asked multiple people to try to replicate this with WinXP and 0.9.3 and none have the same problem. However, **I am the only person that has Service Pack 2 installed on my laptop ** so this might be the variable in question that's breaking this. I cannot uninstall SP 2 as this is a brand new work PC. 3) Bug #252052 is SIMILAR (and I added notes to that bug report) but that user is using Mac not PC, so I thought I should make a new bug enrty. Hope this isn't duplication of effort.
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a3) Gecko/20040829 WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3 I do have XP SP2
wfm Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8a3) Gecko/20040830 tested http://www.tradegamesnow.com with test/test, got an erormessage, so my invalid login was processed as login. removed other two URLS from the URL box. The URL box is for writing ONE URL, and no text or comments, as the contents of this box is loaded as URL when you click on URL:, and if there are comments, or a collection of URLs, you´ll get a 404. the removed URLs: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?format=guided (BUGZILLA itself!) didn´t test that, it is wfm. http://www.gamespress.com/login.asp?from=%2Flink%2Easp%3Fp%3D%2D1%26c% can´t work, you put more into the box, than it´s length allowed. %xx translates into a single char, so if your URL is ending with %, there are at least two chars missing. I assume you are using a User Agent switcher to get some sites working, they are led to believe you are using IE, and let you in. Tht can also work the other way round, you are assumed to be IE, you get vbs and activeX, and the wrong java served. On the other hand I don´t know why bugzilla wouldn´t let you in, even if you use a user agent switcher. Which browser did you use to make this bug entry? Do you have extensions installed? Can you create a new profile, just for testing, without any themes or extensions? That doesn´t mean to delete the old one, just creating one more, and you´ll be asked which one to use. After testing is done, you can delete it, using the profile manager.

Not sure what you mean by "User Agent Switcher". I had to go to IE to log the bug, as I was unable to log into Bugzilla with Mozilla because of this issue (I could not send my user name and password, as the "submit" button is disabled by this bug). I'll be happy to make a new test profile with no themes or extensions- HOW DO I DO THAT? Do I need to load a clean copy of the browser in a different location or something? If I create a new ID within my current load of Mozilla, won't the extensions and themes still be loaded in the core app? Maybe I'm not understanding you... Extensions loaded: (all from Mozilla's site) DOM Inspector ie view OpenDownload Linkification SuperScroll Themes: About a half-dozen, all the mor epopular ones (Noia, Appolo, etc.) Let me know if you need a list. Thanks!

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
