Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803

How I recreated this was I created a new event, then "Mail Selected Event" to
myself, deleted the original event, then checked my email and double-clicked on
the event that I had sent myself. I was doing this to test "Meeting
Request"-style functionality for my users (migrating from MS Exchange). After
double-clicking the attachment, the Calendar pops to the front and then shows
the hourglass inside the Calendar window, but seems to do nothing over an
extended period of time. The application is still responsive (I can add new
events, switch between days and views), but it leaves the hourglass cursor and
does not add the event from the email attachment.

I am using Mozilla Calendar build 2004080916-cal with Mozilla 1.7.2 (as show
above). I was able to reproduce this with the same build version under a
Windows 2000 Pro (SP4) machine as well as my Windows XP Pro (SP2) workstation.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create new event
2. Mail the selected event to yourself
3. Delete original event
4. Receive and open email
5. Open the calendar.ics attachment

Actual Results:
The Mozilla Calendar window came to the foreground and showed an hourglass
cursor. The Calendar was still responsive, but is not displaying the event that
is supposed to be imported. (Nor is it popping up any dialogs for approval the
addition)

Expected Results:
I expected Calendar to import the event from the email directly to 'My
Calendar', or to pop-up an import approval dialog box (and maybe a selection for
which calendar to import to).
