"Mozilla" mail client has a memory feature for the divider bar between the
header window and the body window. If you click it in the middle where it has
the little triangles, it snaps down to display only header summaries
(ie: the one-line subject/date/from summary stuff)
Click it again, and it snaps back up to where you had it before.
thunderbird does not have that gizmo.

I REALLY REALLY like this feature. Please add it back.

Given that you guys supposedly share most of the same code with mozilla, I
consider it a "bug" that this functionality is present in full mozilla, but not
thunderbird.

extension.
This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

Okay, fine, it's a duplicate of 214361.
Which has now apparently been closed, so I'm going to leave this one open.,
rather than just "voting" for the closed one.

But I agree with the submitter of that bug. Marking it as "wontfix" is
unjustified. What's the justification for removing the feature?

"I dont like it" is NOT a technical justification!!
So what if scott doesnt use the feature? obviously, others do.

Having to install an "extension" just to get back simple, common-to-other-apps
behaviour, is ludicrous.

If it's a dupe, then it's a dupe. I don't expect a WONTFIX to be lifted just because a dupe was filed and left open.

FYI, not everyone is entitled to set a WONTFIX -- it is supposed to be a policy decision. See also bug 214361 comment #5.
