User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040803

In many apps, when you enter a phone #, it re-formats what you type to a
consistent format like (999)555-1234.
Currently, you type in a phone # and whatever the way you entered it it the way
it will save.
555-1234, 5551234, 999-5551234, etc. should all be reformated to (999)555-1234

This is howver bound to cause issues for international users therefore this
should be user-settable as well.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.open AB
2.create or edit a contact
3.add/change phones #s in different ways

Actual Results:
All added phone #s are in different formats, no consistency

Expected Results:
It should re-format what you type to a consistent format like (999)555-1234.

highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
