I imported mail three times (due to earlier failures) from Outlook 2003. Then I
deleted the "Outlook Mail" "Outlook Mail0" and "Outlook Mail1" folders using
Thunderbird's interface.

I needed to do another import, but got the following message: "unable to create
folder to import mail into." I correctly guessed that it was not working
because Thunderbird was trying to import to the deleted folders. After three
failed import attempts, the fourth attempt worked fine, placing the results in a
follder named "Outlook Mail2."

While importing mail from Outlook 2003,

bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
