This is crashing in the libc iconv stuff... Over to intl to check whether we're
passing bogus data or whether this is a bug in reporter's libc.

I don't see anything in particular that may trigger the crash in the stack trace
in comment #0. I'm wondering who's got access to IRIX(64).

changed compilation flags so more debug info was available.

Program now crashes in a new spot.
