WebCT, a popular course management product deployed in many universities in the
United States now lists Mozilla as a supported browser (yea!). Unfortunately,
they don't recognize Firefox, even though it should be easy to support (since it
uses Gecko).

This bug is to track them, and hopefully get them to update their 'check
browser' feature as approprate.

I'm taking this bug, and will follow up with any progress (or lack there of).

Any progress?

I use WebCT every day and never had any problem because of Firefox...

(WebCT is used by universities in Canada too ;p)

Since they share the same engine, Firefox works just fine on any WebCT version
that supports Mozilla and/or Netscape 7. However, WebCT.com typically takes
about a year to incorporate new browser versions into their official support
list. It's just the way their company works. Expect to see Firefox added the
list before next school year.

I've heard rumor of this as well. That confirms it.

Closing. We can verify when someone sees the product.
