(useing sawmill wm) enlargeing the mozilla window to the size of almost two
desktops crashes mozilla. This can be done by grabbing the edges of the window
and swappng between two virtual desktops (called viewports in sawmill). I did
this to make the scrollbar on the bookmarks "frame" dissapear. Bookmarks were
hidden at the time. Look for my reasons in bug #25853. (Moz M13 was used)

kim.sandstrom@bigfoot.com: can you attach a stack trace for your crash?
I've been unable to reproduce this bug in Enlightenment using a cvs build

from today. I've tried resizing both a browser window and the bookmark

manager window, but neither result in a crash. Are you still experiencing

this problem?

kim.sandstrom: Is this still happening in recent builds? If so which site were
you on when this happended? Which direction did you resize the window in
(vertically or horizontally)?
I cannot reproduce on 2000-02-23-08-M14 Linux build. Marking WorksForMe

I've only used M13. It doesn't chrash every time. but there is some strange
problems every time. I start up mozilla. It loads the M13 homepage. I enlarge
the
window vertically over two desktops. I start clicking the blue hide/unhide
bookmarks panel button. (the tinderbox/boomarks/whatsnew panel). Sometimes the
bookmarks are not updated (refreshed into the panel), the main browservindow is
not

updated (appears just gray). Recently the bookmarks panel just filled the whole
borowser window.

And as I said sometimes it crashes. Acually I have to admit it has crashed for
me
only two times. but one of these two times it crashed right after startup with
only

the M13 homepage ever being loaded. no browsing involved except that. Only
enlargeing the window. Moveing it around and clicking the hide/unhide bookmarks
panel (maybe scrolling the bookmarks and opening/closeing some folders)

so note: this is hard for me to repeat but I promise it hapened twice. (I could
repeat the bug once)
kim.sandstrom@bigfoot.com : I'm trying to verify this. Does it still crash for
you? I can't get sawmill to let me make a window bigger than 1 virtual desktop.
I have solid borders that I can't figure out how to make soft... What version of
sawmill do you have and could you either test on the M14 release or tell me how
to make sawmill let me increase a window to larger than a single "viewport".
*spam* changing qa contact from nobody@mozilla.org to me (BlakeR1234@aol.com)
on 121 open or resolved (but not verified) bugs. sorry for the spam everybody,
but most of these bugs would just remain dormant and not checked by QA
otherwise. I'm not sure how so many bugs have nobody as their QA contact, but
I suspect this is the fault of some sort of bugzilla corruption that happened
at some point (most of these bugs are in the 20000-26000 range, and I don't see
where in the activity log that QA contact explicitly changed to
nobody@mozilla.org)

Anyways, sorry again for spam. If you really get annoyed, I'm usually
available in #mozilla on IRC for torture.
