Seen on this build specifically, but I have been seeing this for some time while
I have been testing on the mac: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O;
rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040909 Firefox/0.10. Using 10.3.5 on a G5.
STR:
1. Enter a few URLs in the location bar.
2. Click on twisty and then hold down the mouse for a moment.
3. Observe that the set of URLs listed breaks away from the location bar to a
position underneath it. At the same time the Customize Toolbar context menu pops up.

I should have clarified that I am left clicking on the mouse when this occurs.

Another problem, probably caused by the same underlying bug:
1. Browse a few pages so the "back" button is enabled.
2. Click on the twistie next to the "back" button and hold down the mouse for a
second or more.
3. Release the mouse button, then click anywhere on the page, switch tabs, open
top-level menus, etc.
4. Notice that the "back" history drop-down remains in place, instead of
disppearing.
Should I open a separate bug for this?

Uri: Probably would be a good idea for a separate bug - I would look in Bugzilla
first to make sure someone else hasn't filed that one. Note that I just was able
to reproduce your bug on the latest Seamonkey Trunk build on the Mac (Mozilla
1.8a4 Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a4)
Gecko/20040922)

Thanks Marcia. It turns out to be that what I'm seeing is bug 102330.

This seems to be related to another bug.
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259423
I've also noticed that the popup time for context menus is very very short, much
shorter than in the rest of the OS.

CCing some Mac people, which might want to know about this when considering
click-and-hold issues.

Er, why should/does the twisty even have the context menu of the toolbox (try
right clicking)?

I don't think we want the autocomplete dropmarker to inherit any context menu,
the autocomplete textbox has its context menu, having a random context menu on
the drop marker is confusing.

Actually, don't inherit any context menu (that's, only allow a context menu on
the textbox itself)

one option
this doesn't have problems on non-Mac platforms, and its kinda useful for
minimal configs that might have a bookmarks folder and a URL bar and nothing
else (i've used that on an 800x600 monitor before)
find a better solution or #ifdef for mac with an argument for why this is the
best way to fix it
