(Whiteboard: [TOOL][LAYER])

Go to www.yeap.de with Netscape 4.7 or IE 5 and you will notice the significant
difference.
Another one for you, :).

Could you point the difference...and, if possible, could you please attach
a reduced case for the mentioned problem. It will speed up the process a
lot. Thanx.
I'm not sure what the bug is. Could somebody enlighten me?
Whiteboard: Need a test case
Target Milestone: M17
The summary should read "can't display layers". The JS menu code on this side
breaks because it recognizes Mozilla as Nav4 and gives it lots of Nav4
proprietary JS (like document.layers and element.visibility).

See http://sites.netscape.net/ekrock/standards.html for details on
standards-compliance in Mozilla, and which proprietary features of NS 4.x and IE
will not be supported.

In particular, I don't think Mozilla does element.visibility, only DOM's
element.style.visibility; and the MacroMedia sniffing using "document.layer =
netscape and document.all = IE" won't work in Mozilla.

Moving all [LAYER] bugs to Evangelism component for tracking and open-source
evangelism by mozilla community members of sites that need to upgrade to support
web standards such as HTML 4.0 (instead of LAYER/ILAYER) and the W3C DOM
(instead of Nav4 document.layers[] or IE document.all()). Sites should be
lobbied to do the upgrade using the email templates that are linked to from
http://www.mozilla.org/newlayout/bugathon.html#layerbugs . When a site's owner
has confirmed receipt of the message requesting an upgrade, the bug should be
marked with the keyword evangelized to indicate that evangelism for that bug is
complete. When the site finishes the upgrade and supports standards, the bug
should be closed.

Closing all Evangelism bugs where no evangelism is needed because page has been
fixed, site is internal to Netscape, report is a DUP, or bug report is no longer
appropriate for evangelism for any other reason.

looks like a .com bomb (or should I say .de bomb). Site says a new site is coming
Marking INVALID. The site seems to be down for upgrades. Let's hope that it
includes W3C standards code. When the site comes back up, I assume it will be a
completely different page, so if there still are problems with it, please file a
new bug.

Come back later!

These pages were screaming for an update. The new pages are currently under
construction but soon you will find a completely updated page with some useful
stuff for Linux users. So please come back later or write me if you wish to be
notified of the release party.

Thanks for your patience
