Francis, did you have a previous version of Firefox? Do you have extensions or
themes installed?

Francis please fill out the entire form when submitting a bug. Or perhaps someone else can help here
as well?
Which build are you using. Where did you get it from? What did you do?
As noted, these are all only crashes from the past couple of days. Most recent
crash prior to the ones listed was 22 APR 2005, and did not have these
symptoms. File is Gzip'ed, as the original file was 303 KB and 3KB too large
for bugzilla.
sorry, this was supposed to /precede/ the attachment.

I've experienced this bug just recently.

I had been running 1.0.2 for a few weeks without incident, and then I changed two things: installed
the Yahoo! toolbar beta for Mac, which loaded fine after restarting Firefox. Then I changed my
homepage to load a set of tabs, by selecting a folder of 4 bookmarks using the Use Bookmark (I
think? can't load FF now so I can't look :\) button.

What happened:

Double-click Firefox, FF loads and brings up a window but hasn't yet started drawing any internal
elements (page display view area, toolbars, address bar, etc.). Wait a few seconds, mouse pointer
changes to the colored pinwheel of death, and everything FF stops (computer continues to operate,
however). Only way to get out is CRTL-CMD-ESC to force quit FF.

I then downloaded and upgraded to 1.0.3, thinking this might be a fixed bug from 1.0.2. First run
of 1.0.3 ran just fine. Loaded all the toolbars, loaded the window, ran just fine. Then, I opened a
new window after having been using FF for a while (many hours, usually I just leave FF open all the
time), and got the pinwheel of death again; this time, it actually caught the activity and crashed,
which triggered a Talkback.

Now, FF 1.0.3 launches with the same pinwheel of death as 1.0.2 did.

Attached is the crash log (~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/firefox-bin.crash.log), but only the
crashes from the last few days (earlier crashes didn't have these symptoms so I'll keep the file size
small ... if owner would prefer the entire crash log just say so :)

OS is Mac OS X 10.2.8, iBook Dual-USB 12" with 384 MB RAM and ~2.1 GB free disk space.
BSD is installed, as are developer tools.
Firefox is 1.0.3, U/A string I don't know that I can get to, but it might be in the crash log anyway; I
downloaded it on 10 MAY 2005 so whatever version is available right now is probably the same
one ;)
For reference, the Talkback incident ID is TB5759068Z. Also, Force Quit is CMD-OPT-ESC, not
CMD-CTRL-ESC (for those keeping score at home ;)
Hi,

I just encountred a similar crashing behaviour when starting DeePark a2,
guessing from the log this has to to with the foxy-tunes installed with Firefox
(1.0.5).
