On Startup the main window does not show up. Instead there is a small window
showing some XML written in a red font.

Is says: "<mail-urlfiel keywordrelated="true" id="expandedcontent-baseBox"
label="&originalWebseite.label"> ..." (Had to type it by hand, the window does
not allow copy&paste)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. de-install existing versions of thunderbird
2. install thunderbirf 0.8
3. start thunderbird

Actual Results:  
as described, no main window, but a small window, showing some XML came up.

Expected Results:  
it should have opened the main window

I removed and reinstalled thunderbird several times, without success.

Reporter (Chris) -- what is your status with this bug?  Are you still unable to 
use TB?  Did you try starting TB 0.8 in "Safe Mode"?

Did you try reinstalling version 0.7 (which I presume was working before you 
updated to 0.8)?

Did you have any extensions installed with 0.7?  That error you're seeing is 
typical of an incompatible extension being loaded.
