Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10 With 0.8.3 and previous versions of Firefox, I manually configured the proxy settings and stored my login credentials in the password manager. I would be prompted once for the master password then once to submit my cached credentials when I started Firefox. Now, I am prompted every time I try to access any pages through the proxy AND multiple times during page loads to submit my cached credentials. Microsoft ISA server 2000 enterprise proxy. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. When the Firefox page attempts to load, I am prompted at least twice for my credentials 3. Expected Results: Behave like previous versions :-) 1. Open Firefox 2. When attempting to go out through the proxy, preompt for the master password, then present me with the cached credentials for submission. 3. Not prompt me again during that session of Firefox
I had this same problem with version .93 . It appears to have been fixed in 1.0PR but a much much worst bug has been created. I use a blocking proxy at work. If the proxy blocks an add on a page but not the page content (specifically fark.com) It goes into an --infinite-- loop of re-login requests. Email me if i should add this as a seperate bug. It seems related.
I've got the same problem with FireFox 1.0 PR. Before the problem was not appearing. It is totally unusable. When I try to load a page, I have to repeatedly press the enter key to go further. I'll try to reinstall previous version and see if it helps.
This might be a dupe of 230190 ... same symptoms for me.. I have the same problem.. Firefox 1.0PR on Windows XP.. It's using Microsoft Proxy server.. (NTLM Auth) All traffic goes through proxy (http/https).. and everytime it loads an image on a page, it wants a login. If you enable HTTP pipelining in about:config, it usually only asks for your login/pass for every new site it connects to. Even when you check to 'remember username/password', it just prompts you to click OK.
I am experiencing this problem with 1.0PR, but have not experienced it in prior versions. I reverted back to 0.93 and the problem has gone away.
This does not seem to happen in 1.0PR when the proxy settings are set to 'Automatic' and the current Microsoft user has access out through the proxy server
please download and test Firefox 1.0rc1: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/1.0rc1/ *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 256949 ***
