Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.79 [en] (X11; U; SunOS 5.8 sun4u)
Build Identifier:

A: On the "Install folder"-page the installer suggests "C:\Programme\Mozilla
Firefox". But when trying to change the install folder, the folder browser
starts in the temp folder where the installer extracted the files. The
installers I came across until now start in the folder the installer suggested.
B: When typing in the full path of the desired folder in the browser and
clicking OK, the path is ignored, if it dosen't exist yet. The installers I came
across until now ask if they should create it.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
A: 1. on page "Install folder" of the installer click "Browse"
B: 1. in the install folder browser type in a path that doesn't exist yet and
click OK

Actual Results:
A: browser displays temp folder
B: new path is ignored

Expected Results:
A: Browser should start in the folder that the installer just suggested
(C:\Programme\Mozilla Firefox).
B: Browser should ask if it should create it and create it then.

Better put an input field directly on the page "Install folder" which is filled
with the default path and where you can directly type your desired path even if
it doesn't exist yet. This is the best solution if you only want to make minor
changes to the path. Leave the browser for the people who love clicking (I
don't).

I think it's the same bug or at least a solution would solve both.
I suppose when opening the folder browser it is defaulted to
"C:\Programme\Mozilla Firefox". That folder doesn't exist yet, so it falls back
to the temp-folder.
