4. Blue screen of death

Actual Results:  
Locks up the PC must power off then on

Expected Results:  
Firefox browser should start.  I can still run .9 with out an issue as that is
how I am submitting the bug report.

Do you have Netscape installed, using Netscape java ?

possible cause : wrong UserAgent
(useragentswitch extension)
run Firefox 0.9 and uninstall all extensions.
Uninstall FF 0.9
Install FF 1.0PR

I have a co-worker with this same problem, we have removed all extensions. So it
does not look like a problem with the extensions. I will keep working on it and
try to find a fix.

FIX is:

Peter figured it out:

talked about this a bit.
Did you ever use UserAgent switch extension ?
If you open FF with the old profile and e.g. IE as useragent than the
behaviour you describe is the result.
rename your old profile at C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox and start FF
again. I should create a brandnew profile that will/should work.

Close FF and change the line

user_pref("general.useragent.override", "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE
6.0; Windows NT 5.1)");

to 

user_pref("general.useragent.override","Mozilla/4.8 [en] (Windows NT 5.1; U)");

and start FF

Uninstall .9.3 
Install 1.0PR
Reboot windows.
