I believe this is the Flash 7 plug-in. There are two problems that I think may
be related:
1. When the cursor is in a text input in the Flash movie and Find as you Type is
enabled, Firefox interprets text typed into the input box as a search.
2. When the cursor is in a text input in the Flash movie, the keyboard shortcut
for New Tab doesn't register.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
I believe the explanation above covers it.

Actual Results:  
Again, see above.

Expected Results:  
I would expect, if possible, that Firefox would behave the same with Flash
content as with Web content. That is, Flash inputs would swallow basic keyboard
input but not keyboard shortcuts like Command-T.

I was just about to post this bug too.  FAYT is activating when I type into a
flash input field. Sometimes, it even causes the flash field to lose focus which
means you need to type one character at a time, while clicking in the input box
between each one.  For an exmple, try this flash page and enter some text into
the "Find Word" text box.

I can only partly reproduce this bug on Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X
Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

Typing into the text box works as it should, but I cannot use any keyboard
commands when the text box is selected. This could be an issue with flash and
not Firefox but I don't know.

Please read the comments before posting. The issue with the shortcut keys not
working when a flash plugin has focus is bug 78414.

The other problem is already reported as bug 262387.
