User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10 Macromedia Flash does not work properly in Firefox 0.10 / 1.0PR. It worked correctly in 0.9.3. The FlashPlayer 7 Installer correctly recognizes Firefox 1.0PR. Installation occurrs without any error messages. After installation, my broadband homepage says "Update to Flash 6+ to use this broadband module." When I visit Macromedia's home page, I am able to view Flash content properly , so this is a different issue than the one reported in 187570. Unfortunately, since this is my personal home page (password required), and since content on Macromedia's web site , it will be difficult to reproduce. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://dsl.sbc.yahoo.com 2. 3. Actual Results: "Update to Flash 6+ to use this broadband module." Expected Results: Expect to be able to view home page content.
This is a duplicate of bug # 256149. This error can be reproduced at: http://www.triggerstreet.com/gbase/Trigger/FlashDetectInstall
I'm pretty sure this bug has to do with Javascript being able to find the Flash version. Flash itself seems to work but sites that use Javascript to display a "Download Flash" message if a version of Flash doesn't exist do not display the Flash. I made a post on the forums about this, please refer to http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=800484#800484 for further information.
Looks like a dupe of bug 260685.
