User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910

Upgraded to 1.7.3, directly from 1.7.0 (not upgrading to 1.7.1 or 1.7.2 in
between). I don't remember if the mail information was was lost on the first
run, or later. (I've tried making new profiles and copying their contents, and
various
blah blah wild recovdery attempts. But I have never edited prefs.js!!) prefs.js
looks like is it simply chopped off where the mail account directory information
should have begun. This is extremely upsetting to me and my loyal Mozilla
"customer".

Do you want a copy of prefs.js and a "picture" of the mail directories? The mail
directories themselves are quite large. The mail is obviously not lost, it's
just that Mozilla (after wrecking prefs.js) can't find it. Can I hand-edit
prefs.js as a workaround?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Mozilla's mail window
2. It asks me to enter new account information (can't see the existing account).
3.

Actual Results:
I cuss at it

Expected Results:
Shown the exisating account folders, allowed me to get new messages, etc.
