User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 1.0.3705)
Build Identifier: FirFox 1.0 Preview Release
I installed the Magpie tools and Dom Inspector from the tools available option
in the firfox 1.0 and after that, the browser became very slow. It takes
about 10 seconds for the browser to open before it would take less then a
second. Sometimes, the browser just opens but I can’t go to any websites. It
stops responding.
Also, when the browser is trying to load a page and i exit it then when i try
to open the browser again, the process gets started but the browser does not.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. double clicked on the browser, it opens but i can't navigate to any
websites. My bookmarks are not showing and i can't type a link.
2. Went to washingtonpost.com click on a popup link and exited the browser,
doubling on the browser fails to open the browser.
3.
Actual Results:
1. it opens but i can't navigate to any websites. My bookmarks are not
showing and i can't type a link.
2. doubling on the browser fails to open the browser.

Summary: Firfox doesn't open, or takes a very long time to open. → Firefox doesn't open, or takes a very long time to open.
i know the problem from the older versions when upgrading. try to uninstall the
browser and remove the directory from program files.
Most of the times this is a conflict between plugins or old plugins...

I got tired of the Firefox shutdowns in recent days and decided to try
Maxthon. I installed it, didn't like it and uninstalled it. Now, neither
Firefox nor Thunderbird (actuall TBird opens but won't download email). Back
to IE until I get it solved.
About half the time the browser will not open or will open on a few more
attempts. It often will just hang for a while and then open. This has
occassionally happened in the past versions of Firefox but with the latest
version 1.0.4 it is more often. I end up having to reboot or shut the computer
down to get it to open. I have 1 gig memory, WIN XP, Soyo motherboard, AMD
processor.

Random non opening. Firefox will then only function after a restart. System
windows XP SP2. AMD XP processor 200gb HD 1 gb memory. Sometimes Firefox will
start but homepage will not display. Cable broadband 2mb Firefox 1.4 following
restart firefox is slow. Sometimes "Not responing" follows saving work, at other
times it happens for no obvious reason. This is very tiresome and I feel I will
have to reluctantly revert back to IE, which for all it's alledged faults works
reliably first time every time.Firefox is to unstable and unreliable.
AMD Atholon 64 2800+, 1 GB Ram, New machine. Tried to open, removed program -
reinstalled, removed downloaded latest version. Still no response

Marking Invalid, as this appears to be an extension (Magpie issue) and should be
reported to the author.
Ahmad please reopen if you can repoduce these problems in the current firefox
release (or preferably the current trunk nightly or deer park alpha 2) when
starting firefox in safe mode.
Comment 2, comment 3, comment 4, comment 5 are all too vague to be useful,
lacking necessary informtion to reproduce and are unlikely to have the same root
cause or be related to the issue as filled in comment 0.
Please start new bugs for new issues and follow the bug reporting guidelines.
Comment 2 doesn't belong in bugzilla, and comment 5 seems to be expecting end
user support which also does not belong in bugzilla.
