The elements which comprise the chrome should be enclosed in a vbox. These
elements are the children elements of main-window of the following IDs:
navigator-toolbox, browser, FindToolbar, status-bar.
The purpose of this suggestion is to allow extension developers to insert
elements around the chrome, for example, vertical toolbars.

why wouldn't they simply insert the toolbar at the appropriate place? I've
played with an extension that allowed vertical toolbars. Note that most
usability studies have concluded that vertical toolbars are less usable, at
least in cultures that read horizontally.
There's no compelling reason to do this, and this could have unforseen effects
for themes.

I mentioned vertical toolbars merely as an example. The idea is to be able to
insert just about anything around the chrome.
I've tried rearranging those elements via DOM but somethings stop working.
(notably, the url bar.) Should I file a bug for this?
