What version of Acrobat Reader do you use?
The version of Acrobat Reader is Acrobat Reader 6.0 2003-5-19
Version: unspecified → 1.0 Branch
Can you look if updating Acrobat Reader would help? There were some issues with
the PDF plugin of Acrobat Reader 6.0. You can update via Help-Updates...
Every time I leave a .pdf file, Firefox freezes. I seems to me to be actually
closing down Acrobat reader and cleaning up. One of the symptoms is, just after
closing a pdf file, my mouse cursor will not display the hand when going over an
obvious link. It also doesn't do anything else either. Example: I went through
this (looking at a pdf file and closing,) then I clicked in the address bar.
Here again, nothing happened. I then decided to be patient and after a minute or
two while doing absolutly nothing, the URL in the address window became
hi-lighted. So I say if I wait, then my mouse will eventually come back.
Another problem I had, I tried to leave the acrobat file open and just minimize
that window, and then went and clicked on another pdf link, and it froze again,
then proceded to restart Acrobat Reader. (my guess is it closed the open Reader
and restarted from scratch.)

Does this still happen with the latest Acrobat Reader?
Has anything at all been done on this? I am facing it too and it is very annoying.
DUP of Bug 214137? (already WORKSFORME since resolved by 6.0.1)
