User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10 When I open the Themes manager, select a theme (Qute 2.1.3, Noia (eXtreme) 2.75, or Lure (0.5.1) for examples), and click the Use Theme button, the "by-line" for that theme changes to "Restart Firefox to use." However, I close and restart Firefox, the theme has not changed. If I re-open the Themes manager, the theme I selected to use is selected and it's Use Theme button is disabled, indicating to me that Firefox thinks that this is the theme it is using. I should point out that I had been using Firefox 0.9 prior to this version, and after upgrading, it had disabled some of my themes, so I removed them and uploaded new versions. At some point during this process, I was not able to start Firefox at all, as it popped up with some error message everytime. I followed instructions I found somewhere for getting around this, but now I have this problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Firefox. 2. On the Tools menu, click Themes. 3. Select a different theme from the current (e.g. Noia 2.0 (eXtreme) 2.75). 4. Click the Use Theme button. 5. Close Themes. 6. Close Firefox. 7. Re-open Firefox. 8. Shake head in disgust that it STILL didn't work. 9. Re-open Themes (Tools | Themes). 10. Notice that the just-selected theme is selected and the Use Theme button is disabled. Actual Results: I believe I've described this in steps #8 and #10. The theme used in Firefox matches the Firefox (default) 2.0. Expected Results: It should have used Noia 2.0 (eXtreme) 2.75. I should point out that I have tried several themes all with the same results.

Please attach the "chrome.rdf" file which can be found in your profile, the chrome/ directory.

I should point out that I have two chrome folders: First ----- C:\Documents and Settings\Quinton.DELTA\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.utl\chrome This folder is blank. The instruction I may have followed were something to do with this folder; perhaps to delete the file(s) in this folder. Second ------ C:\Documents and Settings\Quinton.DELTA\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.utl\chrome-backup This one includes a chrome.rdf, plus plastikfox_1.3.jar, which is the theme that I was using with Firefox 0.9. I did not attach this version. Third ----- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\chrome This is the folder that I attached the chrome.rdf file from.

Whatever instructions you followed seem to have caused this. Did you run in safe mode? Plesae try running in safe mode, disabling/uninstalling your extra themes, and re-installing them.
