261781 - Download manager does not display source file size where files are less than about 1MB

When attempting to download files using the download manager the total size of
the file being downloaded may not appear (not the amount recieved so far, the
total size of the source file being downloaded).

For some files (mostly larger ones) the format of item's text is:
"xx Kb of x.x MB at xKb/sec; xx:xx remain"
However on smaller files it becomes:
"xx kb at x.x Kb/sec; xx:xx remain"

Examples of files which omitt the total file size during download:
http://download.nvidia.com/downloads/nvswap.zip (161Kb)
http://www.forty-two.demon.co.uk/mainpage/progs/files/foldersize.zip (423Kb)

Examples of files which display the total file size during download:
http://download.nvidia.com/ws_apps/MAXtreme/6/MAXtreme_6.00.07.00.exe (2.1Mb)
http://www.forty-two.demon.co.uk/mainpage/progs/files/subaqua.zip (1.5MB)
http://software-files.download.com/software/10321923/10165542/3/Trojan_Guarder.exe?ptype=3001&ontid=2239&siteId=4
(1.1MB)

I am unsure if this bug is intentional, but as a dialup user I would like the
total file size displayed for smaller files (ideally all files). Previous
firefox versions did not have this problem (I just upgraded from 0.7 to 1.0PR so
it may have appeared in any version of the in-between versions).

Note: I have not managed to locate two files just above and just below 1MB
boundary, so it may not be on this boundary, but it is certainly around that area.

Unsure if this applies only to HTTP only, have not tested over FTP.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use the download manager to download a file that has a size less than about
1MB over HTTP

Actual Results:  
Download manager started to download the file but text displayed on the item in
the download manager was in the format:
"xx kb at x.x Kb/sec; xx:xx remain"

Expected Results:  
I believe the text should have been in the format:
"x Kb of x.x MB at x.x Kb/sec; xx:xx remain"

Firefox (Default) 2.0 Theme, no extensions currently installed.

Yes it appears to be sorry to waste your time (not my intention I assure you).

I could swear i did do a search for other bugs, but subsequent investigation has
proved otherwise.

I used Bugzilla helper to report this, and mis-read the page (I did not search
for my bug although I thought I had. I actually just looked through the list
that was given [turns out the list given is just most frequently reported bugs]).
