I'm not sure whether this inconvenience is a firefox problem or a problem with
the mozillazine forum software.

I usually run with tools->options java, javascript, and let websites install
software turned off, for security reasons and because it stops most ads from
moving. However, some or all of these need to be turned on to post in the
forums. So I tend to forget about the option state, type in a reply, click on
preview, and behold, the previewed message is empty. So I back up to the
previous page, and the composition area is also empty. So I set the options,
refresh the page, retype in my reply and then it works.

This would be less arduous if the reply message wasn't lost when I backed up,
which is what I am reporting/requesting.

(Also I would love a one click way or a keyboard shortcut to turn those options
off and on.)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
disabling javascript alltogether makes browsing the web useless.

Last line should have been :
Nothing works without javascript. [not with caps]
There is little to no security risk by allowing javascript.
things that were unsecure have long been fixed (In Firefox).

I may try running with javascript on, but many things work without it, such as
yahoo groups and the online newpapers I read. Also, having it off may (I didn't
recheck this with just javascript on and the other stuff off) keep some ads from

In any event, having javascript on does get around the posting a reply problem
in that the text is there when preview is done before posting.

I am curious to know why the reply text is lost when I back up to it though. It
is lost even when javascript is on.
