I have compassion on the poor user, who now must make an additional 100-200 unnecessary decisions each day. For simplicity, how about if Firefox does what MyIE2/Maxthon does by having a single text field for URLs and searches; that is: 1. Setting the default keyword.URL to a normal Google search 2. Dropping the search bar from the default UI setup Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
This will probably be marked WONTFIX. The two bars aren't confusing to me.
It has been decided that this is undesirable. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 242268 ***
