Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10 Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 0.8 (20040913) If you save eml attachment then default behaviour is to save it without any extension. This is specially noticable when saving multiple attachemnts, as user must edit names of saved files Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. get some message with .eml attachmet - if you don't have any forward some message as attachment and save it as draft 2. save attachment(s) Actual Results: Attachment (message) is saved without any extension Expected Results: Attachment (message) should be saved with .eml extension

I see this happen in two cases: 1) if the forwarded email has been sent without the .EML extension. In Mozilla/ TB, this happens if a message is dragged into the compose window's attachment pane -- bug 209629. 2) if the file name is changed in the Save As dialog, in which case (under Windows, at least) the message with exactly what is typed, with no extension appended -- this is consistent with how Mozilla saves files in general. Ivan Icin, is this bug about one of those two particular instances, or are you seeing the symptom in a different situation?

Bug 220646 is what I was thinking about. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 220646 ***
