dupe of 260849 , mark read / unread items ?
No, bug 260849 is about the items. I talk about the feed itself - for example, I have a slashdot feed in my bookmarks toolbar folder. When there are new items, I want the feed icon (the blue "folder" icon) to change color to green. That way, I will know I have some more news to read. Combining this with Gmail's new atom feed for new messages, and with autorefreshing a specific feed every 2 minutes, will get you a lightweight - yet very powerful - "Gmail Notifier". And I imagine other web mail services will adopt the idea as well.

The live bookmarks folders within the Bookmark manager itself should be shown in a different color. At least the user could differentiate between Live Bookmarks and ordinary bookmarks folders there. Now all of them appear the same.

Any new updates? This would be fantastic. A count of new items at the end of the name might also be an interesting enhancement like SAFARI RSS on the Mac.
sorry for bugspam, long-overdue mass reassign of ancient QA contact bugs, filter on "beltznerLovesGoats" to get rid of this mass change
