User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 It seems as though when I am tracking with the Powerbook trackpad Firefox will spontaneously go backwards two pages in History and load that page. I cannot reproduce it purposely -- it will do it when it wants. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

Do you also get the 'double tapping' effect when clicking on the scroll bar to scroll by page? I have had to stop using the track pad for this (and use Fn-Up Arrow instead). This may be a platform problem and perhaps of low priority.

This sounds like a problem with the trackpad itself. Do you see the same behaviour in other applications? How does back/forward navigation even work with the trackpad?

I assume you have a jan. 2005 powerbook. This behaviour is due to firefox's default settings being that horizontal scroll should triggers a forward/back action, while horizontal scroll often happens during vertical scroll with the new "two fingers" mousewheel emulation function.
Yes, in Linux Fedora it goes back in history all of the time. I am unable to browse web due to constant behavior. Sometimes multiple pages, sometimes one page.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
