This is a request for an enhanchment.  Seeing that in Mozilla App
Suite/Seamonkey it is possible to switch profiles on the fly, I believe that
this is a good feature and should be ported to Firefox, at least as an extension.

Steps to Reproduce:
It was already decided not to offer this option in Firefox.  See bug 214193.
