User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040922 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040922 I have a folder in which a message has a large attachment. If I open that folder and click on that message, but then dont wait for Thunderbird to finish downloading the attachment from the server but move on to another folder, the message shows up in the next folder I open, and also its marked as unread. If I go back to the original folder and wait for downloading to complete, it then goes away from the new folder. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Find a folder with a message with large attachment 2 [review]. click on the message 3. before message is completely downloaded (from IMAP) open another folder Actual Results: the message showed up in the other folder, also marked as unread. Expected Results: message shouldnt have shown up in new folder Its definitely reproducible when the message is the last one in the folder, I think its also reproducible when the message is in the middle of the folder.
(In reply to comment #0) A slightly different but similair bug occures on my system, Windows XP SP2, Thunderbird 0.8. When I open a message with a rather large attachment, and i click on another message before the downloading of the attachment is finished, the other message is displayed correctly, but the attachment of the previous message is showed below the message body. It does not set a paperclip icon next to the message, but its possible to double click on the attachment message in the bottom of the screen and download the attachment. please try a recent .8 or .9 build - I think this is probably fixed.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter. Hi, i tried the 1.5beta1 version and the bug seems to be resolved in a way, but not completely: If i open a mail with attachments and thunderbird is loading the attachments and i proceed to another mail, the mail is loosing its "attachment"-sign in the mail-index list. I have to focus the mail again and wait for the loading of the attachments to complete to see it reappear. Regards, Stephan Zeissler
